9 sea activities you can't miss in València

    7/3/26 1:00 AM

Summer is officially here! And with it, the first dips in the sea.

You can choose to lie back in a hammock in true bon vivant —which is perfectly fine—, but we encourage you to try one of the most popular water sports around.

There are options for romantics, adventurers, the cautious and the daring.

Ready to embark on our journey? Here are nine sea activities on the Mediterranean you can't miss during your visit to València.

    #1 Paddle surf taster

Paddle surf is here to stay. Since it first took off in Spain in 2008, it has become one of the most sought-after water activities on the coast.

And it has everything: it's perfect for calm days and a great all-round sport, as it works on balance, strength and coordination with no impact. It's ideal for any fitness level! And if you get tired, you can just lie down on the board and soak up the sun.

Try it with the taster session offered by Ocean Republik on the waters of Malvarrosa beach or at La Marina de València, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The activity lasts an hour and a half and is suitable for anyone aged 8 and over.

Jump in and try the trendiest water sport around!

     #2 Windsurf lessons

Dive into windsurf with a class where you'll learn both the theory and practice of the sport. Two hours to glide across the Mediterranean with the help of the famous thermal wind that blows almost all year round in València.

    Windsurf Marina de València

The windsurf classes are available on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM at La Marina de València. Book your spot here.

    #3 Romantic sunset

Because you've earned it — and so has your partner.

If you're looking for something original, romantic and relaxing, book a catamaran sunset cruise. You'll enjoy an hour-and-a-half voyage accompanied by a glass of the famous Agua de València, the city's signature cocktail, made with orange juice, cava and other spirits.

This amazing plan starts at 8:00 PM and, if you choose a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, a DJ session is included. Treat yourselves to the experience you deserve!

You can also enjoy this cruise with Mundo Marino and pair it with a glass of cava or a soft drink.

    #4 Lunch at sea

Except on Saturdays, every day at 1:00 PM, the Mundo Marino catamaran sets sail from La Marina de València to head out into the Mediterranean.

The plan? Three hours at sea with lunch included. Choose whether to sunbathe, enjoy the views in the shade or take a dip — but book your day at sea in advance.

There's also a very similar plan, but lasting two hours, with the Boramarvessel, departing every day at 1:30 PM. And booking is simple, because your lunch at seais just one click away.

    #5 Excursion with swimming

Looking for a fun plan but short on time? Go for the swimming excursion that, except on Tuesdays, departs every day from the foot of the Veles e Vents building at La Marina.

Once again on a catamaran, this time for an hour and a half with two departure times — usually at 11:00 AM and 4:30 PM. You can book on their website.

    Excursión con baño

    #6 Private windsurf lessons

The Real Club Náutico de València (RCNV) offers beginner or advanced sailing or windsurf lessons in individual sessions.

Don't hesitate — no prior knowledge required and it's suitable for all ages.

Start with the theory of sailing: how to set up and take down the board, the name of each rigging element — then put it straight into practice on the Mediterranean. Now sail!

Find more information on the RCNV website.

    #7 Sailing for beginners

Five hours — from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM — to get acquainted with sailing and find out if there's a sailor inside you, with the reassurance of always having a professional by your side who will explain the theory and show you how to put it into practice.

If you're keen, check out all the details of the sea baptism at the Real Club Náutico de València.

    #8 Go it alone

The whole coast to yourself with nothing to worry about. Now you can have a yacht of up to 16 metres at your disposal.

Prefer to be chauffeured? Rent it with a skipper. Want to go solo? There are vessels that require no licence, such as motorboats or inflatables.

Start planning your getaway: from one hour to a full day, on boats that hold up to eleven people, with speakers and sunbathing mats on the solarium included.

You can round off the experience by bringing your own food and drinks for maximum fun. Check all the options on the websites of Quicksail, Alfa Náutica or Wavepol.

#9 Fun also from the beachfront restaurants

We've saved the gastronomic plans for last so you can put the perfect finishing touch on your trip to València.

During the day you can enjoy the wonderful atmosphere and the incredible views of the sea offered by the beachfront restaurants in València, before diving into exquisite rice dishes, a fish fideuà or the classic all i pebre with Albufera eel from the Albufera.

And afterwards, don't miss the buzz that descends at sunset, when the terraces come alive with music and drinks to put the perfect seal on your day in València.

Try it — or you'll have to come back!
